Eric Bates Elected President-Elect of IEHA

Watertown, Wis. (Sept. 29, 2008) - Eric Bates, Manager of Environmental Services at Bethesda Lutheran Homes and Services, Inc., has been elected President-Elect of the International Executive Housekeepers Association, Inc. (IEHA).

“I am always pleased when one of our employees is recognized as a leader in his or her profession,” says Dr. John E. Bauer, president and CEO of Bethesda, “Eric is a great example for others in the work place and in our community.”

IEHA is a professional organization committed to working toward a healthier environment and providing education and networking opportunities to its members. Currently, IEHA has 3,600 members and is present in North and South America, Europe, Asia and Africa.

“I am honored to have been elected to this position,” says Bates, “I believe very strongly in the work IEHA does and look forward to contributing as President-Elect over the next two years.”

Bates will serve as President-Elect, the equivalent of a Vice President, for two years before moving into position as president, where he will also serve for two years.

Bates has served Bethesda for 12 years.

Now in its second century of service, Bethesda Lutheran Homes and Services, Inc. provides services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities throughout the country and around the world. Bethesda offers many different types of services for individuals and their families, including a variety of residential settings, supported-living programs and outreach services.
