Major Gift Planner Added to Staff at Bethesda

Watertown, Wis. (June 9, 2009) -- Bethesda Lutheran Homes and Services recently announced the addition of a new staff member to their Development department. Dennis Vanden Heuvel now serves as Major Gift Planner where his responsibilities include working with Bethesda friends, donors and supporters who have an interest in Bethesda’s ministry.

Vanden Heuvel will work in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois in order to share Bethesda’s successes and discuss the lives impacted by the organization’s ministry while also encouraging the generous support of Bethesda’s work.

"Dennis comes to us with a very successful sales record," says John Nickels, vice president of Development. "I know that he will use this expertise in his new position to be an outstanding fund raiser for Bethesda."

Vanden Heuvel is well known in the Watertown area for opening the new Piggly Wiggly. Previously, he also worked as the National Sales Directed for CheckAwards Corporation. He has been a resident of Watertown for 26 years where he and his wife Lisa have raised three children.

Now in its second century of service, Bethesda Lutheran Homes and Services, Inc. provides services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities throughout the country and around the world. Bethesda offers many different types of services for individuals and their families, including a variety of residential settings, supported-living programs and outreach services.
