Watertown, Wis. (July 10, 2009) -- Bethesda Lutheran Homes and Services will host the 10th Annual Bethesda Foundation Golf Tournament in Watertown, Wis. on Thursday, July 30. The tournament, to be held at the Watertown Country Club, begins at noon with a shotgun start and four-person scramble. “We are looking forward to another great day of fellowship and golf,” says Dr. John E. Bauer, president and CEO of Bethesda. “Last year we were able to raise a net profit of over $30,000 for the Bethesda Foundation.”
The country club, which first opened in 1922, features an 18-hole course situated around Silver Creek, providing many nuances and challenges on the course. In addition to a beautiful golf course, the tournament will include other events, such as contests and an auction. Non-golfers can attend the dinner and participate in the auction for $25.
“The excitement for our 10th annual tournament has been high and we anticipate a great turnout,” says Katey Higgins, director of special events. “We encourage all Wisconsin golfers to consider joining Bethesda for a fun day on the course and help support our mission through this fund raiser.”
The deadline for tournament registration is Thursday, July 23. The registration fee is $150 and includes lunch, greens fees, golf cart and driving range, as well as complimentary beverages and a post-tournament banquet.
To register, visit www.blhs.org/?golf, or contact Katey Higgins at khiggins@blhs.org or 920-206-4432.
