Craft and Trade/Maintenance

Manual positions that require a high level of specialized skill and a comprehensive knowledge of the processes involved in their work, such as mechanics, electricians, plumbers and carpenters, or generalist positions in manual occupations that generally require no specialized training, such as general maintenance, laborers and groundskeepers.

Direct Support

Positions that involve the direct daily care of the people we support, such as residential aides and habilitation aides.

Managerial

Positions that involve the management or supervision of other employees generally requiring a college degree and experience in a specific functional area.

Office and Clerical

Positions that are clerical and/or administrative in nature, such as administrative assistants, secretaries and clerks.

Professional

Positions that require professional expertise and training, such as social workers, pharmacists, registered nurses, dietitians, accountants, fund-raising/development staff and public relations/marketing staff.

Professional Church Workers

Positions that include chaplains, who must be ordained in The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, and religious education and Parish Ministry Consultants who must be active communicant members of a church affiliated with a constituent Lutheran Synod, and must have a sound theological education and be qualified to teach.

Service

Positions, which are service in nature, such as dietary, housekeeping, laundry and environmental services.

Technical

Positions that require knowledge and skill which can generally be obtained through (up to) two years of post high school education, such as LPNs, medical technicians, and computer electronic or multi-media technicians.
