TLC Program

About the Program

The TLC program (Trusted Loyal Companions) is a program designed to match individuals Bethesda serves who would like a special friend in their lives with willing volunteers. This program encourages the individuals we serve to form positive relationships with people from outside their living areas. It offers them a special person to spend quality one-on-one time with, someone they can depend on, someone that they know cares about them.

The Volunteer's Role

Volunteers in the TLC program share some of their time each week with the person who is matched with them. Things to do with their friends include trips to the canteen, walks outside, attending chapel services, giving them cards, reading stories, assisting with activities, and just being a great friend!
