4 Ways to Ask Your Friend to Night to Shine
Posted on: November 15, 2016 | Posted by: Sara Newquist
Asking someone to Night to Shine is a very special moment.
It deserves to be unique, full of glitz and happy smiles—just like Night to Shine will be. Night to Shine, sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation and presented by Bethesda in two locations, is a prom night experience for people with disabilities.
We spent a lot of time researching how to ask someone to prom, known as a “promposal.”
Pick the category below that best describes you to see a promposal idea picked just for you.
Center of the Spotlight
Sing them a song… or write one for them.
It could be as simple as singing a classic song like “You’re the One That I Want” from the movie Grease. Or, you could write a song about your favorite things about your friend and what you love about your friendship and sing it to them!
You can never go wrong with cake!
Bake your friend's favorite cake. Decorate it with things like a picture of the two of you, flowers, sparkles, or their favorite sport team’s logo. Perhaps the Scottsdale Scorpions to thank Tim Tebow for providing the opportunity for Night to Shine? Don’t forget to write something like “Will you go to Night to Shine with me?” on it. This cake will definitely earn you their appreciation!
Buy your friend flowers and surprise them on their door step.
Getting your friend's favorite flowers and dressing up in a sharp tuxedo or classy dress can go a long way. Plus they’ll have a sneak peak of how fancy the two of you get to look at Night to Shine.
Make a scrapbook of pictures and souvenirs from fun trips and adventures you and your friend have gone on together. You could also make a CD playlist of songs that remind you of those memories. Share your favorite parts of those memories. On the last page, have a photo of Night to Shine and ask if your friend would like to make another fun memory with you!
