New Christmas Store Announced

Bethesda Lutheran Communities is seeking donations of gently used Christmas items as part of a drive on Oct. 8 for its new Christmas Store this holiday season. The drive will take place at Bethesda’s Watertown Thrift Shop located at  800 Montgomery Street from 9 a.m. to noon.

This year’s Christmas store will be located in the historic Schempf Building in downtown Watertown at 209 E. Main Street and open on Oct. 28. Shoppers will find a selection of thrifty Christmas items at bargain prices including decorations, lights, ornaments, wreaths and artificial trees.

“We are excited about this year’s Christmas Store and are extremely grateful for all those who will donate to help sustain Bethesda’s mission of supporting those with intellectual and developmental disabilities,” said Jack Vater, Corporate Director of Bethesda Enterprises.

Those unable to make a donation on Oct. 8 are welcome to donate to the store until Dec. 2 at the Christmas Processing Center on Bethesda’s Campus, 700 Hoffmann Drive, in Watertown. The Christmas Store will be open Oct. 28 through Dec. 17.

Those interested in volunteering at the Processing Center or in the Christmas Store can contact Cindy Wuestenberg, Retail Operations Coordinator, at Cindy.Wuestenberg@mailblc.org or 920-206-4436.
