Shop History

Bethesda's Minnetonka Thrift Shop opened in Hopkins, Minn. in 1993.  To increase the shop's size to 17,000 square feet, the shop was moved to Minnetonka. Many of the shops volunteers have been coming for at least 10 years, a few have been volunteering for 18 years and have contributed more than 16,000 hours of volunteering.

Volunteers

Volunteers of all ages are needed.  Cashiers, sorters and general retail positions are available. Other volunteer opportunities include light carpentry, building maintenance and general cleaning tasks. Volunteers can select from daily, weekly or monthly time commitments. Perfect for student, corporate, church, service and civic groups, as well as families, retirees and individuals.
