  • Every Monday is Senior Day. Shoppers 55 years and older will receive 25% off everything except purchased goods, products made by people supported by Bethesda and collectibles.
  • Our furniture area now includes new furniture, including Lang dressers and headboards; three styles of new Simmons recliners and leather sofas and loveseats, designed for easy moving and maintenance, new table/chair sets; and new mattresses, manufactured by Symbol, in twin, full and queen sizes.  Call the store for details.
  • The shop now opens at 10 a.m. on Monday's instead of 11 a.m.

Shop History

The Wausau Bethesda Thrift Shop opened in 1974. It is one of 12 Bethesda shops in Wisconsin. There are 20 Bethesda Thrift Shops throughout the country.

Volunteers

Volunteers of all ages are needed.  Cashiers, sorters and general retail positions are available. Other volunteer opportunities include light carpentry, building maintenance and general cleaning tasks. Volunteers can select from daily, weekly or monthly time commitments. Perfect for student, corporate, church, service and civic groups, as well as families, retirees and individuals.
