  • Lift Disability Network - The place where the disability community comes together, an intersection where faith and society converge, where families gather, organizations team up, leaders are developed and where life is elevated.
  • Faithability - An online community focusing on disability and spirituality issues.
  • Jesus Cares Ministries - Associated with the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS) and with the Lutheran Home Association based in Belle Plaine, Minnesota. This web site is a wonderful introduction to their ministry and gives an overview of their resources available for lending and purchase, as well as training provided to volunteer church workers.
  • Joni and Friends - The disability outreach web site of Joni Eareckson Tada is dedicated to extending the love and message of Christ to individuals with disabilities, their family members, friends and community. The site contains a wealth of links to disability programs and resources of every variety.
  • Religion and Spirituality Division, AAIDD - The Religion and Spirituality Division of the AAIDD (American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities) works to create life-long spiritual supports for people with developmental disabilities.

Professional Development Disability Services

  • American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AAIDD) - Provides a wide variety of resources on developmental disabilities, from books and journals to an interactive discussion board and chat room.
  • The National Organization on Disability (NOD) - Promotes the full and equal participation in all aspects of life of American's 54 million men, women and children with disabilities. Part of its efforts include an active Religion and Disability division. This section of the web site contain information and resources that encourage congregations and seminaries of all faiths to become more accessible and welcoming people with disabilities.
  • The Council on Quality and Leadership (CQL) - For more than 40 years CQL has been a leader in working with human service organization and systems to continuously define, measure and improve the quality of life of all people. CQL offers consultation, accreditation, training and certification services to organizations and systems that share their vision of dignity, opportunity and community for all people.

International Developmental Disability Services

  • IMPACT -An alliance of service providers  from North America and Europe working to promote the human rights recognition and social inclusion of people with disabilities within their communities. Founded by Lutheran faith-based organizations in August 2001, IMPACT supports are non-denominational and have no geographical boundaries.
