Constipation is something that can easily be prevented with good, basic knowledge and information about what it takes to maintain regular bowel habits. This module explains why some people with developmental disabilities and others who support them might become concerned about an individual's bowel habits, the importance of healthy lifestyles for the prevention of constipation, and the importance of monitoring bowel evacuation results on a daily basis to prevent unnecessary complications.
