Celebrate This Day
July 19, 2010
Kathleen D. Morris, Ministry Consultant – MI, OH & NJCelebrate This Day Psalm 118:24
This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. (NIV)What is the best day to celebrate life? Is it your birthday, the day you get your pay check, the day you go on vacation, how about a holiday?
Today is the best day! Yesterday, today, tomorrow and every day should be the time to celebrate life. Each day is a day to think about all the many wonderful things God has given us. God has blest us with beautiful homes, health, a peaceful heart and the forgiveness of our sins. God has blest us with friends and caregivers. Our blessings include the many places we can visit and travel to see His glorious world! We rejoice in all God's blessings.
The Lord has made this day for all of us to celebrate life! The life He has given to each of us to live, to enjoy and to share with others.
Look around you, what makes you celebrate? Is it a good day at work, your summer garden is growing with good vegetables you've planted, you're going on vacation to see family, you're packing for a trip to camp? Whatever makes you happy today and makes you celebrate today…share that joy! Share the Good News of Jesus Christ with others. Tell them of His great love and forgiveness. As you share your joy and celebrate this day, you will help others to see God's love for them and they, too, will celebrate!
Today and every day, take time and look around you....count your blessings and enjoy yourself! This day is a gift from your heavenly Father… so celebrate!
Dear heavenly Father, You have given us so many blessings. Help us to be thankful for them. Help us to share the joy in each day by telling others the Good News of Jesus Christ and help them celebrate their lives today and every day. We celebrate You, our heavenly Father. We celebrate life! Amen.
