Who Comes to Camp Matz?
Servant Events
Immanuel Lutheran Youth Group
Hamilton, Ohio - 2006Camp Matz hosts week-long Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod Servant Events . Youth groups from California to New York travel to Camp Matz to help campers enjoy a unique camping experience. Servants provide one-to-one attention to campers during scheduled camp activities including chapel, arts and crafts, games, hayrides, and more!
This opportunity for Christian service is a fun way to grow in understanding of God's call through worship, work, and community building. Camp Matz is a member of the National Lutheran Outdoor Ministry Association (NLOMA).
Registration for the summer of 2010 begins January 1, 2010 by phone or e-mail. The 2010 fee is $90 per participant, which includes Department of Youth Ministry fee, meals, housing and a T-shirt. Participants must be a minimum of 13 years old. First-time congregations or groups (meaning you haven't attended camp matz before) may bring a maximum of 12 participants. Volunteers
Anyone can volunteer to help at Camp Matz. It is a great opportunity to enrich the lives of others and your own. Whether you'd like to attend our Servant Event program with a youth group, or you'd like to volunteer as an individual, we will try to meet your needs. [Contact Info]
Campers
Camp Matz welcomes people with cognitive and physical disabilities, ages 8-years old and up. Each week of camp is designed to meet everyone's needs! Programming may include campfire with sing-a-long, arts and crafts activities, group or individual games, the ultimate "tree-house" experience, and so much more. Above all, everything you experience is offered in a Christian atmosphere.
The 2010 fee is $375.00 per individual per week (Monday-Friday). [Contact Info]
