Laborers Team Up with Bethesda in California

The Laborers For Christ performed repairs on the Papagayo home in Mission Viejo, California, this March.

The Papagayo home hosted the Laborers For Christ work team and a few folks from the corporate office in Watertown, Wisconsin, along with some familiar staff from the Lake Forest office in Orange County who stopped by to pitch in.

Mike Thirtle, President and CEO, came out for a few days to help, too. Decked out in work jeans and boots, Mike came with full intentions of doing whatever Larry Tewes, Laborers Project Manager, asked of him.

"These folks really are doing the work of God out here," Thirtle said. "I am so blessed to be able to spend time with them."

The Papagayo home received deck and patio work, a new hot water heater and landscaping. When all of the work was done, they even took time to put together a basketball hoop that had been lying in the garage. At the end of the day, the Laborers shot hoops with the guys at the home and had a chance to relax and have some fun.
