What Matters to Me – Laurie

The smell of fresh flowers was always present in Laurie Esser's home when she was a little girl.

Her mother, who passed away in 2009, absolutely adored flowers. She thought they were gorgeous and made sure there always was a new arrangement on their kitchen table.

Laurie, who resides in one of Bethesda's group homes in Johnson Creek, Wis., renews her connection to her mother weekly by buying flowers for her kitchen table. View the video above to learn more about Laurie and watch her lovingly carry on her mother's tradition.
